Asahichron® Pigments

Designed for simple cycles, superior exhaustion and consistent results.

Colour that behaves like it was born on the fibre

Asahichron® is a superfine, cationic pigment dispersion range built for simple dyeing cycles, superior exhaustion, and results that repeat — batch after batch, machine after machine.

PARTICLE SIZE — φ 0.1–0.3 μm

CATIONIZATION — NOT REQUIRED

A pigment range designed around what happens after dyeing

Asahichron is a high-performance pigment dispersion range known for its superfine particle size, providing outstanding levelness and a clean, smooth, uniform shade appearance.

Because Asahichron pigments are cationic in nature, fibre cationization is not required — unlike conventional pigment dyeing processes. That single difference removes a full pre-treatment step from the cycle, along with its water, time, and chemical cost.

  • Superfine dispersion
  • No cationization
  • High batch reproducibility
  • Light & bleach fastness

Four supporting chemistries, one dyeing system

ProductRoleDosage
ASF 011Specially designed cationic polymer that improves dye exhaustion, fixation, and shade uniformity.1–1.5% w.o.f.
Asahi 20 ConcAnionic pre-treatment that improves pigment exhaustion onto synthetic fibres — polyester, wool, nylon, and silk.2–5 g/l
AsahiScour LFWEfficient scouring agent for uniform PFD fabric preparation.
AsahiFlex AS concHigh-performance binder ensuring excellent pigment adhesion after dyeing.

Eight shades | Two concentrations | One consistent hand.

Shown at 1.00% and 10.00% o.w.f. on 100% cotton knit single jersey — the superfine particle size prevents the “speckiness” or blotching common in low-grade pigments, even at depth.

Pigment sits on the fabric. The binder makes it stay.

After dyeing, pigment remains on the fabric unfixed. Binder treatment — AsahiFlex AS conc — is required to improve rubbing, washing, and wet fastness.

Dyed, unfixed

Pigment particles rest on the fibre surface after the dyeing cycle.

Binder applied

AsahiFlex AS conc is applied across the cross-section of the fabric.

Fastness improved

Rubbing, washing, and wet fastness raised to spec.

Beyond colour: a measurable reduction in resource use.

Precision

Precision is not an option; it is our standard. We deliver ultra-fine, high-stability pigment dispersions engineered to remove uncertainty from the laundry process — consistent performance, repeatable shade accuracy, batch after batch.

Ecology

Our goal is a “zero-cationization” future. By championing dispersion technology for a superior, colloidally stable pigment and low-temperature processing, we protect the water resources of the communities we serve.

Aesthetic

We don’t just sell chemicals — we enable fashion. Asahichron is the bridge between a designer’s “vintage” dream and the factory’s production reality.
